WOW!
Less than 2 weeks of school left!  I cannot believe it!!

The students are working harder than ever to get ready for the end of the school year! They have done a wonderful job in their writing.  They put together many different things they learned over the course of the year to create a procedural text explaining how to plant a seed.
This week, we used those instructions to actually plant some beans!  Hopefully they will sprout soon! We will keep the plants here for observations for a few days and the students will bring them home early next week. Hopefully, you can taste the students efforts over the summer!

As we approach the end of the year, any books and work the students bring home can be kept at home.  I do not want to overload the students with all of their materials on the last day, so I will be sending it home a little bit at a time.  I know I had sent home a letter asking them to be returned, and I thank you for doing so! Now it is your turn to enjoy all that the students have done throughout the year. You can keep their work at home from now on. Thank you!

The classes have been practicing and practicing their plays.  They have done a great job learning their lines and getting into character. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to have all of the parents in to see they plays. I would like to record the performances and send everyone a copy to keep. There will be a permission letter going home in the next few days asking for permission for me to send everyone a copy of each performance.  If you could sign the form and send it back I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for your understanding!

Next week, we have Junglesport coming in for an exciting adventure.  The AM class will be participating on Tuesday and Thursday morning and the PM class will be participating on Monday and Wednesday afternoon.  I am really looking forward to this amazing opportunity and I think it is going to be a great way to end an AMAZING school year!

I am sure that most of you are already aware, but I would like to officially tell you that I am pregnant. I am expecting my third child in October.
I will be starting the school year here in September, and someone will come and take over for me for the remainder of the year.  For those of you who have students returning in September, I would like to ensure you that I will be doing everything I can to make the transition as smooth as possible. Your children continue to be one of my biggest priorities!

Next week, you will be receiving your child's IEP with their report card.  Interviews will not be held at the end of the year.  If you would like to schedule a meeting to talk about your son/daughter and the wonderful work they have done this year, or steps for next year, please do not hesitate to call SJA or write a note in the agenda and we can arrange a meeting or a phone call.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.  The last week will be a busy one!  Thank you for everything you have done this year.  Your continued support has been an amazing asset to the progress of your children.  Look for more info next week!

Have a lovely weekend!
